For the diva in all of us
“Melvin Hein is still considered an insider tip. That is likely to change.”
“Sonically, it is designed for the hottest dance floors, not only in this city.”

A prey animal learns how to bite.
Melvin Hein doesn’t make music that knocks politely. He kicks the door in.
The Berlin-based queer artist, songwriter and performer welds maximalist pop hooks to the hardness of Berlin techno, somewhere between a concert and a rave.
His debut album HÆIN (2025) built a world between euphoria and collapse: Berlin nights, queer community, hookups, longing, loss of control, the search for belonging. He released it with a show at Kantine am Berghain that turned the record into a raw live experience between rave, performance and emotional excess.
The follow-up, Bambi in the Headlights of Berlin Nightlife, rests on a single thesis: a prey animal learns how to bite. Where HÆIN treated the night as refuge, the new record turns the headlights back on the room itself, and on the violence of whatever is approaching. “STUD!”, “uppercut”, “dance til I drop dead” and “that bitch everywhere” are out now. The album follows in February 2027.
Live, the line between concert and club night disappears. Solo, as a duo or with his full band (live drums, electric guitar and bass against electronic productions), Hein builds shows that are less concert than collective state of emergency. In 2026 he played Pride main stages in Frankfurt, Leipzig, Hamburg, Nürnberg and Kaiserslautern.
HÆIN is pronounced simply as “Hein”.
„STUD!“, „uppercut“, „dance til I drop dead“ und „that bitch everywhere“ sind draußen.
HÆIN sounds like Kylie Minogue hooking up with Charli xcx and Troye Sivan in the Panorama Bar.
